Compassionate Intentions

Living your life with intention is something I value deeply. The way you treat others is directly linked to the way you respond to your own emotions. This in turn also creates a perspective through which you view the world around you. How you choose to act, and the consequences that come with those choices are not always directly reflected by the reactions of others. If you stay true to your own moral compass you can begin to create the impact you truly want to see throughout the world. There is constantly a lesson to be learned but you must first look inward with compassion and forgiveness to see clearly into the depth of yourself. This deeper self-understanding will guide you to a place where you will be able to find empathy for others in times when you may not feel it to be possible. With every interaction and reaction in our lives, we are time and time again given a choice. A choice to react quickly, and often times poorly, or to step back and really contemplate our own feelings and the multitude of possibilities of other's feelings. When we can break through this reactive pattern and settle into our hearts we can begin to move through the world in the ways that feel true to ourselves.
These last two years have taught me more than I could imagine in these spaces. I am happy to say that I have continued my own journey that I feel has connected me closer to my own morality. Through the challenges with my friends and family, through the hardships of navigating various relationships,  I feel I have found spaces that allow me to know I am moving through the world in a genuine and connected manner. Being back in Bend, a place that holds more lessons and trials than any other place in my life I can truly see the impact of my own growth. Recognizing the person I was from my early childhood all the way through high school and the person I am today brings me more joy than anything I have ever known. The depth of my connection with those around me and the importance of the love that I have felt cannot be expressed through words alone. Thank you to all of the old friends and new who have taught me all that I know today about myself and others. Thank you to those who have wronged me and moved without conscious intention for the lessons. You have taught me more about myself than I could hope to find in a lifetime, and through those lessons, I feel validated in my own growth and ready to continue on my path with my heart open.
